Are you ready for the 2010 General Election & Council elections?
Make sure you are registered to vote - if you’re not registered, you can’t vote!. To check, ring 01992 564411 or email elections@eppingforestdc.gov.uk. To register, print off a registration form from www.aboutmyvote.co.uk.
Many people assume they are automatically on the electoral register if they pay council tax or if they have voted before; this is not the case: you need to register every year. And if you have moved house, even within the same borough, you need to re-register with your new address. Although you cannot vote until you are 18, anyone becoming 18 before 30/11/10 can go on the register now.. http://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/news-and-media/news-releases/electoral-commission-media-centre/news-releases-campaigns/are-you-ready-for-the-2010-general-election
