Public consultation on the future of NHS services in NE London
The long-promised consultation has now been launched, and we hope as many people as possible will respond (please also send us your comments).
The consultative document proposes the retention of Whipps Cross A&E department (crucial for Loughton residents) and the closure of A&E at King George. Whipps Cross Hospital will also have £25m spent to upgrade its A&E. There are various other proposals.
LRA Cllr Chris Pond, who has been representing the County Council in these discussions, has asked for - and has got agreement to - a public consultation meeting in Loughton (date & venue to be confirmed). |
