Problems in Clifton Road

Following a complaint from a local resident, LRA Cllrs Lance Leonard and Caroline & Chris Pond have been investigating:

• The screen to the roof-top car-park 20ft up above the former Co-op store contains metal panels, some of which had come loose and blown down. There was also a badly broken window with loose glass. The area was being used as a skateboard park by groups of young people, who also met there to smoke and drink
• Caroline & Chris reported this to the relevant Council Officers for investigation. The building owners have been contacted and asked to sort out the security of the site. The police are being asked to keep an eye on the area too
• Caroline & Chris also followed up the litter in the alleyway to the High Road, to get this swept.

Following LRA Cllrs efforts , remote CCTV has now been fitted, and work is underway on making the area more secure.
